Be one of the first to develop your innovative idea!

There's still time to get your bids in for the first round of innovative funding available through reach's 'Let's Innovate' programme. The first round closes on Monday 16th April.

Applying is very simple, just tell us about the need or issue you have identified, what your solution is to overcome that, and what a difference you think your idea would make to Bridgend's rural communities.

Who and what can be funded?

Let’s Innovate can work with individuals, groups and businesses to commission projects that will directly benefit the rural communities of Bridgend County Borough. If you need help to deliver your idea you can work in partnership with others, just let us know.

Where’s rural in Bridgend?

We’ll be looking for examples of new products, rural services or innovative research or study programmes that develop new approaches or markets, enable new businesses, are ideas new to the county or completely original, are sustainable and engaging and deliver a transformative impact.

Getting your idea heard

To get the ball rolling, you will need to tell us why you think you have found an innovative solution, how it would work and how you would spend £10k to make it happen. To submit your idea, please complete the Idea Form below and email to rural.development@bridgendreach.org.uk

The small print

Projects will be commissioned by the reach Local Action Group through competitive open bidding rounds until all funds have been exhausted, see website for latest information.

Each successful project will need to bring £1,000. In some cases reach will be able to help source this with you.

Every Let’s Innovate project will need to be completed by the end of November 2013. This means that the project has to be delivered with all monies paid out.

The Innovation Fund is partly funded through the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and funding provided by the Welsh Government.
