Only 1 week to go til the start of Love2Walk festival in Bridgend, south Wales and it promises to draw the biggest and best crowd yet! Find out about the 40 walks and experiences on offer during the first week of October 2011 in this festival of the feet!
HIghlights include several family events like Walking on Water 1st October - booking up fast, Geocaching Juniors also on the 1st, Toddler Walk (4th Oct) and all Tales and Trails events throughout the week.
Our firm favourites are back including the Merthyr Mawr Food Forage on the 8th, the Ghost Walk which this year is at Bedford Park 8th October, and the bat walk at Bryngarw taking place on Monday 3rd.

We are delighted to be able to launch the Tales and Trails project druing Love2Walk festival by running events incorporating each of the 4 walks and stories! The events are in Kenfig KNNR on 2nd Oct at 10.30am, Blaengarw Parc Calon Lan on Tuesday 4th at 5pm, Llangynwyd meeting at the car park outside the Old House on Thursday 6th at 5pm, and Blackmill, meeting at the sheep sales site on Sat 8th at 10.30am.
Each will have a guided children's history walk followed by storytime and some simple activities back indoors. Email love2walk@bridgend.gov.uk
The tales & Trails project has completed a pilot phase and delivered four fabulous children's stories and short walking trails around Bridgend's rural villages. Find out about the historic buildings and landmarks and how significant they were in their day with our factsheets. You can also listen to the stories online with our four audiobooks now available!
