rural produce

Melt-in-your mouth beef, award-winning pork, organic lamb, carefully crafted jams and preserves, rich honey, vegetables bursting with flavour, even olive oil… Just a sample of what rural Bridgend can offer our taste buds.

Tempted…?

Within the UK there is a slow, but increasing movement highlighting the importance and benefits of purchasing locally produced food and drink.

Through the development of networks, we aim to see increased production, processing, marketing and consumption of local food to create thriving local food economies.

Engaging with both producers and consumers we are working towards a real food culture in Bridgend County Borough.

We can support the development of direct channels such as farmers' markets, food cooperatives and community-supported agriculture, and help with project development, marketing, cookery demonstrations, signposting or funding.

If you have an idea that you would like to explore further then why not get in touch and see how we can help?
