Our Funders

The Welsh Government

Funding for the Rural Development Programme is administered by the Welsh Government and is a combination of funding from the European Union and Welsh Government domestic funding. Some of this is allocated to national schemes which roll out ongoing support for rural communities, for example, Farming Connect.

Some of the funding is made available through competitive bidding rounds which invite applications from locally-focused projects such as the Rural Community Development Fund capital programme or projects which co-operate across a wider area such as the Co-operation & Supply Chains Development Scheme.

Local funding under the LEADER measure of the RDP for Wales has been confirmed for rural Bridgend through an indicative allocation. It is up to the Local Action Group to determine how this funding is allocated at the local level in line with our Local Development Strategy.

Bridgend County Borough Council

Bridgend County Borough Council is the Administrative Body for the 2014-2020 programme and has agreed to provide any shortfall in match funding that is required by the programme. The Reach team is also hosted within the organisation as part of the Economy & Natural Resources Team within the Regeneration service area.
