Ogmore Valley All-Weather Pitch

An opportunity has arisen for the Ogmore Valley Community Council to apply to the Cymru Football Foundation for a grant to fund the development of an all-weather pitch. Reach are supporting the Council to prepare plans, concept drawings and project specifications in preparation for the grant application.

In 2019 a Reach-funded public consultation was undertaken with members of the local community and gathered responses from 360 local people.  The consultation identified the best location for the pitch to be at Aberfields (also known as the Planka). Ogmore Valley is the only valley community that does not have an all-weather pitch that allows schools and sports clubs to play sports and train throughout the year, relying instead on having to travel to other areas of Bridgend.
