Pencoed Bowls Club Action Plan
The Reach team are supporting Pencoed Bowls Club with their desire to develop a sustainability action plan to secure the future of the organisation.
Pencoed Bowls Club has been in existence for 60 years and currently has over 63 members, but the group would like to ensure the future of the club by expanding their activities and attracting new members. Lawn bowls has experienced a rise in popularity internationally in recent years and the group have determined that this is a good opportunity to consider their operations with a view to sustainability.
Pencoed Bowls Club currently have a lease on the green at Felindre Road, Pencoed, as a result of a Community Asset Transfer from Bridgend County Borough Council. The group is funded entirely from membership fees and the group maintain the pavilion and bowling green themselves.
This study will provide a professional 5-year plan, which will research the operation of other bowls clubs, discuss the group’s operations with all members and the committee, suggest creative ideas for future activities and present funding options and opportunities.
